2010 Race for the Cure Breaks All Records

The 2010 Komen Twin Tiers Race for the Cure was blessed with blue skies and 2573 participants ( 900 more than last year!), who came to honor, celebrate, or remember those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. Bowl For The Cure A Success!

The Twin Tiers Affiliate earned $2,400 in its first Bowl for the Cure in 2010. Held on January 9th and 10th at Paramount Lanes, this year’s event was packed with over 120 participants throwing strikes and spares in honor of all breast cancer survivors and those continuing the fight. read more...

“Listen to Your Inner Voice”

I was just going for a routine annual physical. But my appointment turned out to be anything but routine. My doctor scheduled a mammogram because of concerns about a lump she discovered in my right breast. The good news was that that lump wasn’t cancerous. The bad news? They found something in my left breast. Then I got the dreaded call. I needed to come in as soon as possible and, I’ll always remember this … she said, “bring someone along with you.”
